Our Team
At Yal-Day-New, our Teaching Team is passionate about each child’s safety, health, development, and learning experience. All Teaching Team members come with years of experience in the Early Childhood field and provide a warm, inclusive environment for each family. The majority of our Teachers have a minimum of ten years of experience in the field, and continues to be a part of the Yal-Day-New community for years to come. We consider our staff to be an integral part of our long-standing success and extension of our family.
Our Teachers are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care. Each employee is required to have a full background check from CORI/SORI/DSS with at least three reference checks. Yal-Day-New requires that all employees hold a current CPR and First Aid certification, which is renewed annually. Per the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, each Teacher is required to maintain twenty hours of professional development annually. This requirement encourages teachers to continue to enhance their knowledge in the early education field, as we are always learning and growing professionally to meet the diverse needs of our students every year!
Our Director
Lindsay Harvey joined Yal-Day-New in 2009, after graduating from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology. She continued her studies in Early Education, receiving a Director II licensure by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
In her role as Director, Lindsay has maintained the traditional Jewish education that Yal-Day-New is known for, while incorporating new and innovative education to best serve the children and families that the school supports. As a member of the Boston-Haifa Early Childhood Educators Connection, she embarked on an educational trip to Israel with Hebrew College in February 2014 to enrich the Israeli culture and Hebrew curriculum at the school. She is passionate and inspired to support each child’s individual experience at Yal-Day-New.
