Who We Are
We offer full-time and part-time programs for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children in a safe, dependable, and culturally-rich Jewish and Hebrew environment.
We are conveniently located near Cleveland Circle on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, Massachusetts. We are accessible by public transportation via the Green B, C, and D train lines. We are fortunate to have effortless pick-up and drop-off for our students directly in front of our early childhood center.
We are proud to incorporate Jewish culture and values into all facets of our program. In our Preschool curriculum, we teach both the Hebrew & English Alphabets. All of our students celebrate Jewish festivals & seasons, partake in daily art projects coinciding with the weekly curriculum theme, and enjoy specialized, educational field trips among the community.
Yal-Day-New hosts family celebrations for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Purim, and Graduation. We provide an atmosphere among our families in the early childhood program that creates a community through these celebrations.
We maintain a firm commitment to the beauties of Jewish practice and traditions. Currently, we have at least one Hebrew-speaking teacher in each classroom. We encourage students whom do not primarily speak English to enroll in our program. The staff at Yal-Day-New has the experience and resources to provide a comfortable and welcoming classroom environment for children among various languages.
Yal-Day-New has been providing care to Infants for over twenty years, which is the longest running Infant program in the Brookline-Brighton-Newton area. By providing care for children from two months until Kindergarten, Yal-Day-New provides continuity in the lives of the children and families it serves. Continuity is important for helping children feel safe and loved, for developing lasting friendships, and for creating a supporting community of families.
Our families reflect the diversity of the Jewish community with students hailing form Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and Israeli backgrounds.
We maintain a non-discriminatory enrollment policy, and believe all families come in different shapes and sizes. We encourage all families to inquire upon our early childcare program.
